Intervertebral disc disease is a neurological emergency when it is acute. Nothing here is for that. This page is for the long recovery after the crisis, and for the chronically wobbly back.

## First, your vet

Your vet, today, if your dog is in pain, wobbly or cannot walk. Crate rest, pain control and, where indicated, surgery are the treatment. A peptide protocol starts only after that plan exists and with the vet’s knowledge.

## What owners use

Owners of dachshunds, French bulldogs and corgis use REPAIR during the rest-and-rehab weeks, and the Post-Op Recovery bundle after surgery. Dosed by band; many of these dogs are small or medium, so 6 or 9 units.

## What the research is

BPC-157 has rodent research on spinal-cord and nerve injury models alongside the tendon work, which is why owners reach for it. There is no canine IVDD trial.

## Questions

### Can peptides avoid surgery?

No one can promise that, and we will not. Whether to operate is a decision your vet and a neurologist make from the exam and imaging.

### When after surgery can I start?

With the surgeon’s sign-off, typically once the incision has healed. The Post-Op Recovery bundle is written for eight weeks of support.
